Hemsedal can be also reached by train and bus. You can travel from Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim.
Check out some different opportunities on how to get to the Scandinavian Alps at Hemsedal with public transportation.
From Oslo and Bergen you can take the train to Gol and continue to Hemsedal by local bus or taxi.
There are daily express buses between Oslo and Hemsedal every day all year round. The buses go via Oslo Airport and Hønefoss.
Oslo Airport is the nearest large airport. There are direct transfer buses from Oslo Airport to Hemsedal, but the bus must be booked in advance.
Part of the Startup Extreme Experience is the travel together with other Extremers. Hemsedal is a journey for everyone, no matter if you travel from London, San Francisco, Oslo, Bergen or Kopenhagen.
But the Alps of the Nordics is not far.
From the International airports of Oslo or Bergen, it is a nice 3-4hr ish train or buss-ride through splendid nature, before arriving in the Village of Hemsedal.
Get to Hemsedal by 11:30 - Wed 24th of April
Your aim should be to get to Hemsedal by Wednesday 24th 1130 at the latest. That way you can join the kickoff of the Conference.
- Go by car, or see recommended travel options below.
PS 1: You can also arrive the day before, join the pre-drinks, hitt the ski-slopes, or join the early side-events.
Return from Hemsedal - Friday 26th
Feel free to go home any-time you are ready for it on Friday. However we would recommend giving yourself some time for checkout, as the closing tribe night at Stavkroa tend to last into the early hrs.
Other return options:
If you are not a fan of dinner-events, or the afterski-show of your life, then you are of course free to leave Hemsedal whenever you see fit.
- Thursday 25th at 1830 is then a good time for that.
